FAQs
What experience level is required for these courses?
Our courses are highly technical and are specifically designed for barbers, hairdressers, and stylists with at least two years of professional experience on the floor.
In what language is the course taught?
All of our courses in Rotterdam and the majority of our European tour dates are taught in English. If translation is provided for a specific "On The Road" event, it will be noted on the event booking page.
Do I need to bring my own tools?
Yes. You are required to bring your own professional toolkit, including clippers (with specific guards/blades), shears, blending shears, a blow dryer, and various combs. A complete, detailed tool list is provided on each course's booking page.
What is the difference between The Classics and Volume 2?
"The Classics" builds your foundation, focusing on the strict mechanics of the Vanguard, Executive Contour, Boogie, and Flat Top. "Volume 2" is the advanced sequel, applying those techniques to longer lengths and fades, covering the Long Trim Pompadour, Jelly Roll, Bald Fade Pompadour, and Psycho Quiff.
Are travel and accommodations included?
No, tickets cover the two-day educational course and lunch on both days. All travel, hotel accommodations, and voltage adapters for your tools must be arranged independently.
Do I receive a certificate when I finish?
Absolutely. After successfully completing the two-day intensive training, you will be awarded an official Old School Barber Academy certificate to hang proudly in your shop.
What is The Old School's cancellation and rescheduling policy?
